Fort Stewart Education Center - The Army's Continuing Education System provides educational support worldwide to active duty, National Guard, and Reserve soldiers, family members, government employees, and retirees. Troops At Georgia's Fort Stewart Prepare To Aid Nato Role In Ukraine Conflict
Child Development Centers offers full and part-day care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, Georgia Pre-K, and hourly care with reservations available. The centers are nationally accredited and provide a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the social, cognitive, language and physical development of young people.
Children of active duty military personnel, DOD civilian employees, reservists, and DOD contractors may be eligible. Fees are based on total family income.
The School Liaison Office is the liaison between Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield families and private and public schools. The office provides support to service members through all phases of transition and deployment to ensure children receive the full opportunity for a quality education. Military School Age Centers offer care before and after school, as well as care during school breaks and after school. Children have access to computer labs and can get help with their daily homework. Programs are nationally accredited and use standardized curriculum through formal partnerships with nationally recognized organizations such as 4-H and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

Youth Activity Centers host high school and teen programs for youth in grades 6-12. The facilities include a gym, computer lab and other activity rooms. Child and Youth Services Program Assistants are always available to supervise interactions with youth during open recreation hours. The homework teacher helps the students with their homework. The technology club is run by a lab manager with skills in electronics and technology. Organized activities such as club meetings, cookouts, sports and games are facilitated by trained program assistants and directed by youth leaders.
To participate, young people must be registered and have a child and youth service. There is no charge for high school and teen activities, except for special activities such as dances, locks, and field trips. Various excursions take place during the long school breaks. Departure taxes are only required if you pay entry taxes at destinations. The transport is free.
Youth sports and fitness programs provide a variety of sports, fitness and educational opportunities for children and parents who live on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. If you've ever thought about joining the military's largest unit, you've probably wondered what the benefits are... Fort Stewart Youth Challenge Academy (FSYCA) officially opened its doors in 1993, one of ten original academies in whole country. in 2018 FSYCA celebrated 25 years of success with more than 9,000 young men and women graduating. Over the past 25 years, FSYCA has evolved to meet the needs of our clients and currently offers the following academic programs for motivated cadets: High School Diploma Program; a credit recovery program that helps students earn or make up for lost credits so they can return to high school and college classes. Students in our high school/credit recovery programs earn an average of six major credits during their 22-week stay with us. However, highly motivated students earned as many as fourteen credits.
Fort Stewart YCA class of 60 begins on Sunday 2023. January 15, which is called "In-Take" (Day 0). This is a very important day; also a very long day. The candidate and the guardian will be checked at 6-8 different stations. Therefore, families/caregivers expect to be here for approximately 4 hours. Please bring no additional family members on this day. Celebrate the farewell party at home, not here on this day. The only persons required to accompany the candidate should be a legal guardian (the person who signs him/her into the program) and their mentor.
