The Mark XIX Desert Eagle is a gas-operated, semi-automatic pistol with a 7-round capacity in .50 AE and an 8-round capacity in .44 Magnum. The gun measures 10.75" in length with the 6" barrel, or 14.75" with the 10" barrel, as available in black. Width 1.25", height 6.25" and empty magazine weighs approximately 72 ounces. It features a 6" barrel with a trigger reach of 2.75" and a sight radius of 8.5". The construction of the Mark XIX Desert Eagle employs the latest CNC machine technology to precise specifications with precise tolerances creating a work of art in a precision weapon. . Grip Is physically machined. And provides an ideal arm seat angle for two-handed shooting that allows for comfortable, fast, and accurate firing. Magnum Research has developed a new, faster, more powerful .44 caliber pistol cartridge. The 429 DE (Desert Eagle) was designed to enhance the famous and powerful Desert Eagle platform. This cartridge has a 25% velocity increase and a 45% energy increase in the 44 Mag (240 - 6" barrel). Velocity of 1600 FPS with the 240 grain bullet and 1750 FPS with the 210 grain bullet.
429 DE has a 30-degree shoulder that gives it enough headspace and neck to grip and wring a 240 grain bullet without recoil. Based on the famous 50AE cartridge, the 429DE Starline is machined from brass, and loaded with Spear and Sierra bullets by HSM in Montana.
429 DE pistol (DE429SRMB) features a stainless steel slide, stainless steel frame with Picatinny bottom rail, and a 6″ stainless steel barrel with integral muzzle brake and black appointment. The pistol comes with .50AE 7-round magazine.
429 DE Mark XIX additional barrels are available in a variety of finishes with Picatinny-style accessory rails. Brass Tacks: The Magnum Research Desert Eagle 50
The Desert Eagle.50 AE's innovative design and real-life performance are as impressive as its movie credits. The first patent for gas-operated semi-automatics was granted in 1983 and further improvements were filed two years later.
The piston-driven self-loader uses a three-way rotating bolt, similar to the one found in many semi-automatic rifles today. The stainless steel barrel is fixed and does not move during cycling. It is chambered in .50 AE and has a magazine capacity of seven cartridges. All come with a recoil-taming, integral muzzle brake.
Pilzer, MN-based Magnum Research, which has been part of the Havoc Firearms Group since 2010, manufactures firearms here in the United States. The flat-black versions are the least expensive in the current lineup, with an MSRP of $1,900. They come with 5-inch barrels and 1:19-inch rifling. The sights are fixed, the overall length is 9.69 inches and it weighs 3 pounds, 0.6 ounces.
The frame is aluminum and the slide, which has a rail for optic mounting, is manufactured from steel. The single action trigger pull comes in at four pounds and the manual safety is ambidextrous.

However, models with stainless steel slides are the most popular. Barrel length increases to 6 inches and weight increases to 3 pounds, 7 ounces. The rifling rate remains the same and the MSRP for the black aluminum framed versions comes to $2,255.
For accuracy and performance, tested and thoroughly reviewed by American Rifleman "...fired the single best group with MRI's 300-gr. JHP and it measured just 0.95. Average group size for the three loads tested is about 1½", and I think that's pretty cool for a pistol produced for the chambered .50 AE cartridge. Reliability was impeccable during my testing - there were no stalls of any kind.
